Arrival tracking for field service crews

Know a tech is running late before the customer calls

Draw a geofence around each site your techs visit. Their phones stamp arrival and departure while they're on shift, with nothing to tap at the door. If a tech hasn't reached a recurring stop by the end of its check-in window, dispatch hears about it in Slack while there's still time to call ahead.

How it works

  1. Draw a geofence around each site your techs visit: a customer's building, the shop, the supply house.
  2. Techs start their shift in the free SpatialFlow app on their own phones. Arrivals and departures record themselves, with no button to tap at each job.
  3. Give a recurring stop a check-in window. If no arrival lands in it, your rule posts to #dispatch or texts the field lead. The Time on site report totals every visit and exports CSV.

What it proves

A missed check-in means no arrival was recorded in the window. A phone without signal looks the same until it uploads.

Quiet phones

A phone that goes quiet on shift gets flagged too, and its trail fills in when it reconnects. The phone keeps up to a day of points, or 10,000 of them.

The tech holds the switch

Tracking runs only while a tech is on shift, and a manager can't turn it on for them. A tech can pause for lunch without ending the shift.

Questions crews ask first

What does the tech have to do?

Accept the invite, allow location, and tap Start tracking at the start of the day. Arrivals at your geofences record on their own from there.

Can I see where techs are after their shift?

No. Tracking runs only while a tech is on shift, and managers can't turn it on for them.

What happens in a basement with no signal?

The phone keeps up to a day of points (or 10,000 of them) and uploads them when coverage returns, each with the time it was recorded.
